Exhibition: Cristina Meloni, Soglie (Thresholds)

In the exhibition galleries of the Organica Museum, as part of the contemporary art section, ‘Soglie’ (Thresholds) – the new solo exhibition by the artist Cristina Meloni, curated by Elena Calaresu – will be presented.
In *Soglie* (Thresholds), Cristina Meloni explores the boundary not as a clear dividing line, but as an unstable space in which the usual coordinates of perception are subverted, calling into question the observer’s position. This body of work originated within the framework of PAS – Progetto Atelier Sardegna (2014–2015), arising from the artist’s observation of gates and boundary walls encountered whilst travelling throughout the region. These are elements that make a boundary visible, without their meaning being limited to their material substance: a threshold can be physically marked out, but it can also be suggested, perceived and internalised.
