What to see nearby
The Bosco di Curadureddu is located 7 km from the charming town of Tempio Pausania. With its spring waters, unspoilt nature and characteristic historic centre, today Tempio is one of the most interesting towns to visit in Sardinia.
Awarded a Bandiera Arancione (the Italian Touring Club recognition for the most charming and authentic towns) in 2019, Tempio is the keeper of the historical heritage of Gallura: the old railway station from the 1930s, with paintings by Giuseppe Biasi, is the arrival point of the trenino verde, the little green train that rides across Gallura; the magnificient old town preserves its ancient buildings and granite squares.
Along with art, culture and tradition are the protagonists in the City of Stone: the Carnival of Tempio – Lu Carrasciali Timpiesu – is the most important allegorical carnival on the island, with over one hundred thousand visitors each year.
