Minimalist watchtowers hidden among the trees – Paolo Carta’s Limbara Observatory Towers – to observe the natural world and, by reflection, oneself. The artist brings a part of the work Observare entitled Constrüire into ORGANICA. Observing the vegetation that surrounds us requires a great deal of patience, a reference to immutability and immobility. Despite man’s conviction to the contrary, nature in all its forms reminds us in a very direct way that it is impossible to eradicate it completely; the more we try to eliminate it, the more it adapts and manages to survive, Yves Marie Allain said of weeds “which establish themselves permanently in many places and eliminate all competition”. Constrüire / Perlustrating nature’s modus operandi, in placing itself before and in our midst, requires vanguards dedicated to observation, fir-tree observatory towers, simple outposts towering above strategic points of special interest, as a stimulus and warning for environmental protection and awareness.
