Contemporary art at the foot of the Limbara

Sunday 14 May in Tempio Pausania sees the opening of the new season of the ‘Organica’ museum of environmental art, immersed in the unspoilt nature of the Limbara Park.

From May to December 2023, a rich programme of exhibitions, installations, concerts, cultural events and environmental workshops will takeplace in the Curadureddu Forest.

The 2023 season of the ‘Organica’ environmental art museum opened with a press conference on 19 April in Tempio Pausania. Together with Giannella Demuro, the museum’s artistic director, the mayor of Tempio Gianni Addis, the territorial director of the Fo.Re.S.T.A.S. Regional Agency Maurizio Barneschi, the deputy mayor Anna Paola Aisoni and the municipal councillor for Culture Monica Liguori took part in the conference. Also taking part in the conference were some of the artists and partners who will participate in the various initiatives on the calendar.

For the fourth consecutive year in Tempio Pausania, contemporary art will inhabit the foothills of the Limbara, in the vegetal setting of the Curadureddu forest and along the paths through the scents of the Mediterranean maquis.

The ‘Organica’ Museum of Environmental Art in the Limbara Park, in fact, is ready to open its doors for a season that includes from May to December 2023 a full calendar of exhibitions, workshops, performances, happenings, concerts and cultural trekking appointments dedicated to the discovery of places, the excellence of the territory, and reflection on the themes of environmental sustainability, thanks to the collaboration with the Municipality of Tempio and the Fo.Re.S.T.A.S. Regional Agency.

The common thread among the various activities of the project, now in its fourth season, is the relationship between man and nature: Organica was in fact created to create a moment of ‘encounter’ with the places on the island, an original opportunity to discover the extraordinary beauty of this land and, at the same time, offer food for thought on the complex relationship between human beings and the natural environment.
